Corporate Governance

Good corporate governance consists of a number of elements that, taken together, represent a company’s commitment to ethical leadership, transparency and solid values to guide all business decisions.

Over the last few years, there have been a number of developments in the area of corporate governance, including legislation and regulatory policies and practices in both Canada and the United States focused on the composition and functioning of boards and committees of the board, including audit committees.

The MDS Board continues to strengthen corporate governance practices to strengthen accountability, transparency and the alignment of shareholder interests. The Board is strongly independent, with members reflecting a depth of management and industry experience that is invaluable to MDS and to our growth in global markets.

At MDS, we take good corporate governance seriously and believe it is important for our stakeholders to understand our corporate culture. The documents listed to the left offer greater insight into the guidelines, practices, rules and standards upon which MDS bases its business.
