Early-Stage Drug Development
MDS Pharma Services works with clients to advance the development of new drug compounds at this early-stage by offering the following services:
Discovery and pre-clinical research is conducted before a new drug compound is tested in humans. These services are used to identify promising leads for new drugs and identify the potential for adverse reactions. MDS Pharma Services currently offers the industry’s most extensive range of discovery and pre-clinical research services. They include:
- Molecular screening and profiling for new drugs;
- Metabolism services to evaluate the effect of new drug compounds;
- Proof of concept models; and
- Safety evaluation studies.
Phase I supports the first human trials of new drug compounds. MDS Pharma Services has one of the largest early clinical research capacities in the industry, with a global database of more than 200,000 volunteer study participants and state-of-the-art clinics around the world. MDS Pharma Services currently has over 1,100 Phase I beds.
Bioanalytical services provide analytical testing of blood and other samples from volunteers participating in clinical trials. MDS Pharma Services offers the latest technologies for bioanalysis.
Late-Stage Drug Development
MDS Pharma Services provides our clients with services to move clinical projects through the later stages of drug discovery and development in accordance with relevant regulatory standards.
Phase II - IV – With 23 locations in 21 countries around the world, MDS Pharma Services is ideally positioned to offer management services for global clinical trials. MDS Pharma Services helps clients conduct complex, global trials in all major therapeutic areas using multiple sites. Clients can draw upon MDS Pharma Services’ expertise in oncology, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular, respiratory diseases, vaccines and central nervous system to support their drug development programs.
Global central labs – Through its global central lab network, MDS Pharma Services offers both complex and standardized safety testing to support global clinical drug studies. MDS Pharma Services has grown to become the third largest supplier of central lab testing services, with MDS facilities in the United States, Canada, France, Singapore, and China, as well as affiliate labs in Argentina and Brazil.
